Lie of the land (or space or ocean or... Well, you get the idea)

Galactic

Below is a map showing the basic division of the Milky Way in 2106, including territories and approximate positions of Earth and Sector 98187 98. “CoHab” is a shorthand for the word “Alien”, as every species believed every other species to be an alien and it got very confusing for everyone involved.

Using the human names, the three sections of the Milky Way are now thus:

Sharedspace is governed by a council of each species inhabiting the area. The council consists of sixteen members.

Humanspace is entirely in the control of humans.

Negaspace is entirely in the control of the Negalegs.

This is not to say that the Humans and Negalegs stay within their own space, each species has colonies in the other’s space, but should any legal issues begin the Trisect’s government may do what they wish.

(to view the history of these divisions, see History)

Solar System

There are not enough names to aptly describe every colony planet, therefore planets are officially named by number: First two digits indicate intergalactic sector (Sharedspace is digits 80 - 100, Negaspace is digits 40 - 70 and Humanspace is digits 0 - 30), following three digits further indicates location, next two indicate more specific sector, next digit indicates specific solar system. This is followed by a full stop and then the planet’s number, counting outwards from the sun.

Note: The inner and thicker asteroid belt, Savarsi Major, protects the inner planets from overexposure to the bright sun.
Planet Colonization Status: Canary One landmass is currently occupied by a joint Human, Negaleg and Heydra colony. More colonization scheduled pending final investigation. It is important to note that Sharedspace 911 is one of the first joint Human/Negaleg colonization projects, and though still in its infancy the development, exploration of surroundings and societal structure is proceeding at a highly commendable rate.

Planet 911, remarkably, has very few mountainous ranges above sea level. Underneath the water, however, there is evidence of much tectonic stress. Resident scientists have concluded that the landmasses are actually the flat plateau peaks of massive, mainly submerged mountains. Owing to the remarkable tendency of Planet 11 to constantly change its rotational tilt, there is very little variation planet wide in both habitat and temperature. There appear to be three main environmental types, consistent but for slightly varied species of Flora and Fauna.

Costal regions – It is here that deposits of Hydranium, an element used for temporal experimentation, have been found. Mostly bare, due to enormously variable tides, the costal regions are flat plains of small pebbles.

Forest regions – Covering the majority of the planet, Forest Regions are where ‘herds’ of the curiously mobile fauna have made their primary living space.

De-Forested regions – Once the soil is exhausted of nutrients, the moving fauna moves to a new location in a mass migratory manner. The abandoned land is a barren landscape, until the small insect residing within the soil replenish enough nutrients for the plants to migrate back.

Thus far, only a cursory survey has been made of the native flora and fauna of planet 11. Amongst a variety of small, toughly hided insects and larger, fast-moving plant species, a single (though primitive) mammalian land predator has been encountered. Shrieks, as christened by the first exploration unit to survey the planet, are reminiscent of the pterodactyls that used to inhabit ancient Earth. Approximately one foot across, the Shrieks are perfectly suited for hunting amongst the dense and ever moving forests of Planet 11. Most of the native life lives within the dense oceans, and though further studies must be made, some aquatic life-forms have been observed as “Many-limbed, semi transparent and large in appearance”.
