[ Introduction ]

Sharedspace 911 began as a mere journal assignment for English. The brief was to create a colony in space, in the year 2106, with Human and Aliens in the same area. After producing 35 pages of ideas that were largely irrelevant to the assignment brief, I thought I ought to do something a little more with it than strip it down to the basics and present it as a short assignment. I created multiple species, an entirely new language, theology and society for the world of 2106, specifically what life must be like for human colonists on new worlds. And I really, really enjoyed myself. (Typical! I get adrenalin rushes from making ruddy websites) Each section in the menu has subsections, dividing up the information. I advise you have a look around to get a feel for the fictional universe before diving into “Colony”, a visual and fictional compendium on 2106 from the inhabitants of the Sharedspace 911 colony. Please note that the "Theology" and "Technology" sections are currently unfinished, but will be complete soon.

[ Why? ]

"Why is this person bothering with all of this if it ultimately leads nowhere?" I hear you ask. Well, the answer is that I have far too many ideas, and not all of them can go somewhere productive. It's certainly not too much time, I've done this in the teensy gaps in my life between school work and other school work. Over the past years, I have made many fansites, but very few that were based entirely on something of my own making. It was about time to build one that consisted of nothing but my ideas.

[ Who? ]

Me! I was born in 1988, I enjoy making websites, drawing, being silly and Science Fiction. I'm currently a College student, and am very busy learning useful (and completely useless) things. Most people beleive "Silly" adequately describes me.

[ When? ]

I began mid July. I've no idea how long it will take until I feel this is finished.

[ How? ]

For website making, I use Dreamweaver. For diagrams, I use a fineliner and ballpoint pen. For spiffy pictures, I use Photoshop. For my ideas, I use the IOU note my brain left when it eloped with my adrenal glands.
