Once a year, the world comes together for a celebration of the arts in the Lion City. It is the season to be entertained, enchanted, inspired and challenged by the best.

The Singapore Arts Festival 2005 promises many delights for arts lovers. Established as one of Asia's leading arts festivals, it is also known for its embrace of the contemporary and cutting-edge works by leading contemporary artists from Singapore, Asia and beyond.

This season, we will salute the world's finest performers, whose displays of skill will have you captivated and enthralled in dance, music and theatre. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary; traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights. Some of this year's blockbusters include the National Theatre Company of China, The Royal Ballet (UK), The Philadelphia Orchestra (USA) and Les Arts Sauts (France). The festival will also feature local performing groups such as the Toy Factory Theatre Ensemble and the Singapore Chinese Orchestra.
