I love your food and want to know how to cook them! Where I can learn to cook authentic Singaporean dishes?
If you have not had enough of our great food while on holiday here, it's certainly a good idea to fit in a cooking class or two! Learn to whip up a storm during your stay in Singapore and impress everyone back home. Singapore offers cooking classes at various academies, including academy at-sunrice and the Raffles Culinary Academy.
Experience hands-on pan-Asian cooking with academy at-sunrice (http://www.at-sunrice.com/main_idx.html), buy Asian table and craft ware at shop at-sunrice, and sample pan-Asian favourites at cafe at-sunrice. For more information and to book a course online, visit at-sunrice.
The Raffles Culinary Academy (http://www.raffleshotel.com/culinaryacademy.html) offers a range of cooking and lifestyle classes to suit everyone from gourmets to food hobbyists to amateur chefs. For more information, visit the Raffles Culinary Academy website.

How much time should I spend in Singapore?
As in any other country, how long you should stay really depends on what you wish to see and do, and how much of Singapore you would like to explore. For a small country, we are choc-a-bloc with goodies! If you want to experience Singapore fully, complete with shopping and sightseeing, we recommend you stay for at least five days.

I have 1 to 3 days in Singapore, what should I do?
Here's our recommendation on how to maximise your time in Singapore:
Morning
• Start the day with breakfast with an Orang Utan at the Singapore Zoo.
• For an orientation of the city, join the various City Tours available, or choose from the numerous Special Interest Tours for tours which focus on the food and culture of Singapore.
• Alternatively, to experience the uniquely Singaporean lifestyle, click here for a selection of tours available.

Afternoon
• Visit the colourful ethnic quarters of Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Gelam. Pick up Yours to Explore brochures of these areas that will guide you on exploratory strolls around the ethnic quarters. The maps are available at the airport, selected hotels as well as the Singapore Visitors Centres.
• Go shopping at Orchard Road, Bugis Junction, Bugis Village or Millenia Walk. If you prefer suburban shopping, head down to where most Singaporeans live, eat and shop - out in the suburban housing estates like Tampines or Bishan. This is where you'll discover some of the best bargains.
• If you like souvenirs with a difference, head down to the Raffles Hotel Gift Shop or one of the Museum gift shops. This is where you'll find a wide range of fine merchandise with a local flavour.
• For a touch of the arts, watch Chinese wayang and gain an insight into the art of Chinese opera, at the Chinese Tea House on Smith Street and the Herbal Shop on Wilkie Road.

Evening
• Choose from the array of restaurants at the restored convent school known as CHIJMES (pronounced 'chimes'). If you want to try local dishes, dine at Lau Pa Sat, a restored festival market with seemingly endless dining options which is open 24 hours. Or enjoy alfresco dining at Boat Quay, Clarke Quay or even a seafood dinner at the East Coast Seafood Centre.
• After dinner, complete the evening with a trip to the Night Safari to catch a rare glimpse of animals after dark.
There is so much more to see and do in Singapore - we really suggest that you try to extend your stay!
